Why to Visit Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga?
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas in India. Located near Nashik in Maharashtra, at the base of the Brahmagiri mountain, this temple holds huge spiritual importance. What makes it truly unique is its Jyotirlinga, which represents Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma together.

Moreover, during Sawan Maas, thousands of devotees gather here to offer prayers.
Our Road Trip Experience

On August 14th, we left Hyderabad with our infant . On the first day, we went directly to Nanded and spent the night there because we wanted to cover a lot of distance. If you have the time, you should arrange a quick trip to Nanded, which is also spiritually rich due to the Gurudwara Hazur Sahib.
From Nanded to Nashik

We headed for Nashik the following morning. The drive was enjoyable because the highways felt lovely and smooth. We arrived in Nashik in the evening and spent the night there getting ready for the much awaited darshan at Trimbakeshwar Temple.

Nashik to Trimbakeshwar β The Darshan Day
We woke up early on August 16 and left Nashik at 4:30 AM. We wanted to arrive as early as possible because we had heard that darshan might take six to seven hours.
Since all others lot was already filled when we arrived at 5:30 AM, we parked in the Government Parking Zone.
We decided to buy a βΉ200 VIP Darshan ticket. The wait at the ticket counter, however, was about a kilometer long.
We were able to obtain our tickets after two hours, even though people broke the line when the ticket counter opened at 6 in the morning.
We were surprised to find the darshan line almost empty once we were inside. Getting the auspicious darshan of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga just took five minutes.
The whole event became an example that when faith leads the way, patience pays off.
Devotees cannot stand close to the Jyotirlinga for long. So, during darshan, take a quick look. A mirror above the linga shows its reflection clearly.

Whenever if you’re feeling sleepy or hungry while you’re waiting in line. Tea shops open directly in front of the counter as the morning goes on, keeping you refreshed. After finishing your darshan and leaving the temple, you can visit a variety of shops, eat regional food, and buy mementos to bring home.
Make sure you book your hotel in advance if you plan to visit during peak periods like Sawan Maas or Shivratri. Since we weren’t sure how many days we would be there, we didn’t confirm our stay in advance, which caused unnecessary stress.
