Thinking of a quick escape? Chirala Beach చీరాల బీచ్ is about 6–7 hours from Hyderabad. Here’s our personal take on the trip.
Introduction: Why This Trip To Chirala Beach చీరాల బీచ్ Felt Different
Some weekends sneak up on you. One Friday evening, after a week of endless calls and honks near Hi-Tech City, we just took break. We needed the sea. No big plans, no overthinking. By dawn, we were on the ORR with coffee in one hand, a playlist blasting and 6 months old baby sitting next to us. Destination? Chirala Beach చీరాల బీచ్. Heard from Friends about its hype. It is real as well.

Chirala Beach Distance from Hyderabad
If you’re wondering, the Chirala Beach distance from Hyderabad is about 330 km. In simple math: 6.5–7 hours if you drive like a grown-up. Add our “chai every 50 km” rule and it stretches to 8. Worth every minute though.

Routes and Random Moments on the Road
There are two routes you can take by car:
- Route 1 (Nalgonda–Miryalaguda–Addanki): Smoother and faster, however after Miryalaguda, your stomach may murmur.
- Route 2 (Suryapet–Narsaraopet): A little bit longer, but lined with dhabas where the biryani is wonderful.
We chose Route 1. Morning ORR stretches felt like freedom bottled in concrete. But then hunger struck, and we realized why snacks matter. Pro tip: don’t underestimate those tiny tea stalls. One cup was so strong we joked it could fuel my car.
And yes, midway, a herd of buffaloes owned the road. Not even the trucks argued. Everyone just waited, engines off. Weirdly peaceful.
Weather: Pick Your Mood
- Summer: Sticky. You’ll sweat faster than you can drink water.
- Monsoon: Romantic for the drive, not so much for sandy shoes.
- Winter (Oct–Feb): Golden. Cool winds, dreamy sunsets, and mornings where the beach feels like yours alone.
We went in January, and honestly, standing barefoot as the sky turned orange over the water felt like life was finally on my side.
What We Did Once Reached
First thing? Shoes off. Straight into the waves. The drive melted away instantly.
- Chirala Beach (చీరాల బీచ్): Calm, quiet, ideal for just staring at the horizon.
- Ate boiled corn near beach
- Drove ATV
Food and Where I Slept
Food first. That prawn fry? Crunchy, tasty. The crab curry? Messy, but who cares when it tastes that good?
Stay options:
- Budget: Local lodges (₹1000–₹1500). Basic, but fine.
- Mid-range: Sea Breeze Resorts (~₹3000). We stayed here. Comfortable, right by the water.
- Luxury: Palm Coast (~₹5000+). If you want to splurge and sip cocktails by the pool.

On the way, I did the safe stop at a Food Court in Suryapet. Clean, predictable. But honestly? That random dhaba near Miryalaguda beat it hands down in flavor.
Budget Breakdown
For two people, two days:
- Fuel & tolls: ~₹4500
- Stay: ₹3000–₹6000
- Food: ~₹2000
